Hello! I'm Bill, the owner and staff of NUTS & VOLTS. I grew up in northern Virginia and decided to move to the valley in 1998 to be in a rural setting that has ancestral history and forested mountain land. I live in the Blue Ridge mountains with my family of four.Â
Four years after graduating high school I attended Lincoln Technical Institute and received a diploma in automotive technology. One week after graduating I was hired at a Chevrolet dealership where I remained employed until moving to the Valley in 1998.
Now residing in the valley, employment with independent local shops and a franchise transmission shop added to my experience until 2009 at which point I became employed for the Ford Dealership until 2024. Through Ford Motor Company training I held the title of Senior Master Technician for the past 8 years.
With an exponential technology advancement in recent years, diagnosing issues requires up-to-date training and equipment. I have held close to the symptom to system to component to cause diagnostic process which is based on the scientific method, and it has served me well.
